Mountain View Market Co+op has announced its upcoming Block Party on Saturday, August 17, 2019. The festivities kick off with a Morning Makers Market beginning at 9 AM. Local growers, crafters, and non-profit organizations will be set up in front of the co-op to sell their wares and meet members of our community. The co-op will be offering free organic, fair-trade coffee from Equal Exchange, as well as free samples from local vendors and national brands all day. The afternoon will be full of fun with a special hot bar menu featuring made-from-scratch enchiladas and a build-your-own nacho bar. Local food trucks will be on hand to serve up tasty dishes to hungry shoppers. Children’s activities are planned for the afternoon as well with a “seed ball” building table, chalk for sidewalk masterpieces, and more. Plus our ever-popular bubble machine will be out to bring on the fun.
We’re firing up the chile roaster for freshly-roasted local, organic green chile from Seco Spice in Berino, New Mexico. Chile is available in medium, hot, and extra hot in full cases.
Mountain View Market Co+op has been community-owned since its start in 1975, and to carry on the tradition we will be holding an ownership drive to welcome new owners. The first ten new owners will receive a swag bag filled with local goodies.
Everyone is invited to join in the fun during this free, family-friendly event. Bring a friend and get local with us!
