Come explore what presence is and what it means to get more present. Believe it or not - presence is vital to enjoying more harmonious relationships with partners, potential partners, family, and friends. Presence is the practice of slowing down and quieting the mind (if only just a little bit) so you feel less identified with your worries, fears, and stressors.
As always, the goals of this group include sharing and encouragement, accountability, and insight in an atmosphere that is safe, supportive, and non-judgmental.
We’ll discuss what presence is and what it’s not. We sill spend moments throughout the talk both describing what presence feels like and practicing presence or mindful awareness of the present moment. We’ll also explore what it means to surrender to what is with less resistance, since whatever we resist persists.
What you can expect:
Discuss what presence is and how it can help you feel more joyful
Practicing presence and bringing it to your daily life
Share ways you can invite more presence into your dating life and relationships
This meet-up will have moments of stillness/silence and mindfulness built into it coupled with dialogue and group sharing. You may want to bring a notepad and pen/pencil to write with.
